Mark
your calendars as AMC makes history on May 22nd and 23rd!
Things
are changing for the better when daytime TV viewers, which
is a very conservative audience, support and approve a gay
related storyline, much less sex scenes. But ABC did
it the right way. First in 2000 they introduced us to Bianca,
Erica Kanes daughter returning to live with Erica after her
father dies. Bianca is one of the most lovable charachters
on AMC. She is honest, loyal and moral... and she is
gay.
AMC
has taken us through Bianca's heartbreaks and struggles as
she has been ridiculed and subjected to homophobia, even from
her own mother, but many heartbreaks falling for bad girls
and straight girls, but never getting to know love.
The
AMC audience loves Bianca. And in recent polls, this
conservative audience wanted
Bianca to find that love. Well
the audience is going to get what they asked for...( isn't
it terrific that they asked for it?) next week when AMC gives
Bianca her first lesbian kiss. Actually the first gay
kiss on daytime TV. The kiss is between Bianca
and and her new friend Lena (Olga Sosnovska) who "in a moment
of truth and true love ... comes to terms with her feelings."
Eden
Riegal who plays Bianca has been nominated for an Emmy for
her performance and credits her lesbian sister for her success.

the taboo... "You Go Girls"
