Like all good gay girls and boys, dykes and queers, we unite every June and celebrate our uniqueness.  So whats happening? 

There are Marches, Parades and Parties galore!  That's what!  You can find a list of Pride Parades in your City or closest to you HERE on LBO. It's a time when bears, drag queens, drag kings, leather momma's and some of us less flamboyant queers will be out in color and having a great time.

Pride month has been a tradition and originated

The timing couldn't be better this year. Right off the war and the poor economy, anti-gay sentiment, prejudice and fear has resurfaced and is more viable than in recent years. It will be interesting to see if Bush acknowledges us this month. Feedom of Speech seems to be less accepted and more suppressed, which is why it is so important for our minority to celebrate, stand up for who we are and not accept anything less than respect.  We ARE here, we ARE queer and we ARE not going away.

But also, June is the month when many supporters come out in droves to support our beautiful kind!

The MEDIA, Television and Cable courts the gay audience in June.  Be sure to keep an eye out on our favorite channels whom target our kind closely this month as they go all out.  HBO, Sundance, Independant Film Channel (IFC) and Cinemax are the usual suspects, and they many good Gay and Lesbian Films planned for us throughout the month.

Even EGreetings and Online card companies have special Pride Cards which you can choose to send to your favorite buddies!

Smart advertisers also take advantage of this time to market us this Month as well.
