Clubskirts is to lesbian events

what Disneyland is to theme parks!

It has all come full circle….

As we predicted the split between the two big promoters has now, this year 2008 come around full circle and both are a smashing successes with plenty of business for everyone. Obviously both parties had different visions and today the result of the infamous split has given our community variety and choices, which we desperately needed.

At Dinah Shore Women’s Weekend there are varieties of parties now… there is something for everyone. While ClubSkirts may have a wilder – raunchier (and I say that with a huge smile) ride, Girlbar hosts a classier variety of parties and now newcomer Fuse Events/ promoted by Aileen Chaiken’s OurChart joins in on the fun by offering smaller venue’s without the hefty price tag…. we can easily predict that Fuse Events will become a bigger player

as the word gets out.

Dinah welcomes Fuse Events for the first time!

Fuse Events has their first ever Dinah Party which caters to a local crowd, party go’ers that do not wish to attend ALL events and do not want to fork out big dollars.

Elizabeth Keener (AKA L Words -Dawn Denbo) loses her shirt and becomes an endearing crowd pleaser. The true hi-lite of Fuse Events were their Coyote Ugly girls whose performances were sexy and steamy…. Whatever you do next year ask for a $20 shot….  Might be the best $20 you have ever spent and if you stay until the final dance of the evening you will see a beautiful surprise when the dancers bring on a guest.   Fyke was absolutely a hell of a lot of fun, but would have loved to see the dancers Fyke…. ?

We wanted to add that Linda Fuscio of Fuse Events is just a really charming host. No pretense here at MySpace Fuse Events.

Fyke happens in LA frequently, and is a do not miss lesbian event when you are in Southern California.  Check out their MySpace @

GirlBar hosts a classy venue for Dinah!

Again, GirlBar hosts very classy events, they have a “Broadway” type extravaganza feel to them, nice presentations and décor of their parties, they do have big name entertainment (the Go Go’s anyone), the crowds seem a little older and a little more subdued…. only a little and only in comparison to Club Skirts parties.

GirlBar events are just as packed as Club Skirts events.

Club Skirts is to lesbian events what Disneyland is to theme parks !

LezBeOut.com has always maintained an unbiased - no favorites rule in our reporting as long as we are reporting strict straight reviews, we do not sponsor any ONE event. However, that being said, it is becoming increasingly hard to be unbiased when one set of events so clearly outshine others, but it would depend on what you are looking for.

In a nut shell, Club Skirts is like Mrs. Toads WILD RIDE! The Club Skirts crowds in 2008 seemed to have a wider variety of ages of women than we have seen in the past, but do not get us wrong, every gal or tom boi from the age of 21 to 60 was partying hardy and having the best time ever and they all had a common camaraderie and sistership.

We have to admit, 2008 proved that Club Skirts really is the hottest ticket in the desert and let us tell you why….

Typically we hear variety of complaints (can’t please everyone, so complaints are expected) but at the Club Skirts parties…. Everyone was having too good of a time to think about complaints. Not even the ever so popular, “too expensive” complaint was ever whispered…. And probably because there was SO MUCH going on that the party go’ers felt like they were getting what they paid for? However, in a perfect world, there would be more bathroom accommodations.

Club Skirts is full and complete NON STOP lesbian entertainment!  Mariah Hanson has really pulled everything together and each year since the split has gotten better and better. There is so much going on that you cannot possible see everything you wanted to. While there is some form of Lesbian Fantasy act going on in one area, there is a whole other “do not miss” act going on in another area… it is truly a NON STOP lesbian fantasy extravaganza that is OFF the hook. Often your friends will ask you, “did you just see that?” and you will have missed it, because you were being entertained on the other side by other forms of entertainment.

Mariah Hanson wisely choose dancer’s that didn’t just dance, but truly perform thee most  beautiful erotic routines that I have ever seen at any Dinah Events in the many years that I have been attending.  It borders on soft lesbian porn (in bikini’s) and its breath taking. Most importantly these girls really came across as true lesbians. Whatever Club Skirts pays these dancers, it likely wasn’t enough and “SHAME on any of you” who cheaply tipped these gals with $1 bills, these girls were well worth $20 tips”!  What a shame if any of you missed their “lube wrestling” performances, to say that it was erotic is an understatement. Club Skirts dancers gave the audience more than what they expected.

The pool parties are always the show stoppers… the do not miss events, but with booking such a variety of fantastic venue’s like Colbie Calliat who was, God, just amazing, but Pat Benatar, yes thee Pat Benatar… Club Skirts hits the nail on the lesbians head with something classic and something new…. the complete package is what you get. No wonder 2008 brought in a wider variety of ages of women.

My crew and I found ourselves not wanting to leave Club Skirts parties, and saying that may not make LezBeOut any friends, but it is the truth. Now, we just can’t wait for next year!
