While Ellen is the most famous lesbian comedian on the planet,

Suzanne Westenhoefer is certainly a shining star!

Every month LezBeOut receives countless CD's and materials to review from lesbian (and some not so lesbian!) artists, musicians, rocks bands, writers and our personal favorite.... COMEDIANS!  We save them for our roadtrips when we are all forced to be together on one of our lesbian adventures, covering events or lesbian resorts, regions and what nots!  Some are great and some are not so great... and chances are they must be absolutley terrific for us to review them on LBO.  Obviously having heard of Suzanne Westenhoefer (what loyal lesbian hasn't?), we had high expectations and were cautious when Suzanne sent us her newest CD to review.  I mean, this is Suzanne Westenhoefer for cring out loud! What if it stunk?

First of all it's hard to review a comedians CD, we all know to get the whole feeling it is best to see them perform live and have the visual aspect of their show... and hopefully we will be able to see Suzanne live on one of our upcoming adventures.

Well... here we are reviewing it, so YES, it was terrifically funny!  Within the first few minutes, we all could tell why she is at the top of her game.

Unlike Ellen, Suzanne has a raunchier side... we all agreed that, by ear, she reminded us of a lesbian version of Rosanne Barr.  "I know!".   This woman is not afraid to let loose.

Suzanne's unique background makes for some funny stories.... as this Pennsylvania born lesbian jokes about what it was like growing up in the Amish country.  What can be more hilarious than Trick or Treating to your Amish next door neighbor? 

There are so many funny stories here... from lesbian hairdo's to her gay dog to being in jail with Martha Stewart!  This CD is very entertaining!  One aspect, that I personally love about a comedians stories, are when I completely relate to what they are saying and you will find many instances in Guarunteed Fresh that you will find yourself saying...... "I know".

It is easy to see why Suzanne is one of our queer hero's!  We wish her the best of luck and are proud she is on our team!
