4th Season of the
"L Word"
is the best season yet!
.
The fourth season of the L Word raises the bar, with new
storylines, new names and a sexy Latina who gives Shane a run
for her money! No
one is pregnant! Thank God! And no one is
cheating! Honestly, there seems to be a better awareness of our true
community, not just the LA chic.
The writers have gotten so much
better this year. OUT, are the silly opening scenes of
nuns and 70's parties, and IN are some very fun and light
hearted quirky scenes! Shane and Pappy's showdown was
hilarious, the awakened Phylis as she walks through the campus
corridors after she discovers the joys of lesbian sex and
well, all of Alice's scenes are really coming to mind as
uniquely fun and entertaining!
While most of us didn't
embrace the Max/Moira character, she does bring a
representation of the American "butch" which was nearly void
in early years, and luckily this year Max gets to bring issue's
home and become more endearing. The rejection of Max by
her straight girlfriend who describes Max as a "freak" hits
home and is very sad.
"Shared parenting" is
brought to the for front between Bette and Tina, Tina is
realizing she doesn't have as much in common in an old world
or way of life (haven't we all experienced a straight
gathering like Tina and Henry's cocktail party!) Oh yeah,
Bette is back! Die hard L Word fans will know exactly
what we mean!
Dykes who finally came out after being
married with children for decades will have their story told
by the beautiful and classy Sybil Shepherd.
Are you missing out? For those Dana fans, geez already
get over it, its make believe people... if you haven't renewed
Showtime this year, you are truly missing out.
Alice is as cute as ever.... HEY, why wasn't Leisha Hailey
nominated for an Emmy for her portrayal of the grieving Alice
who finds her best friend had passed away during the only
minutes she took a break... Leisha Hailey is the most
underestimated actress on the show! The chick is a great
actress and that is that!
It is so good this year that you don't want the shows to end.
You will find yourself saying, "It's over already?"
